Sometimes life just gets in the way!! But on the positive side I did manage to get the latest Barbara Brackman's CW BOW completed.
This was a nice simple block and I'm quite pleased with the results!
I've had the floral stripe fabric for quite a while and wasn't sure how I'd use it! I guess if you wait a while something always comes along where it is just perfect for the job!!!
I have also added the border fabric on my little vintage hexie quilt. The binding will be a pale lemon, picked up from the lemon bits in the border print.
Now all I need to decide is how to quilt this little sweetie LOL!!! It will surely tell me if I listen carefully!!!
Winter has really set in here on the Far North Coast! I'm afraid I don't do winter too well even if it is a sub-tropical winter LOL!!! Another couple of months and Spring will be here.....can't wait!!!!
Hopefully I will have the binding on a large bedsize quilt to show you soon. I got it back from the long-arm quilter late last week, it is so nice to have it finally quilted.
Hope you are all keeping yourselves busy, and thankyou for dropping by!
Take it easy,
Merilyn

Love you BB block, Merilyn and your sweet little vintage hexie quilt is coming along beautifully!
btw i succumbed to Barabara Blackman's lure in the wee hours of this morning lol! i made my first BB block at 1.30am [#23] i've got a bit of catching up to do, but i'm in no hurry lol!
This time the BOW is easy peasy! Great work on the fussy cutting of the border prints!
I suppose that's why we stash because one day in the future, distant or otherwise we'll use it and boy do we feel smug when that happens! LOL!
The hexagon quilt is looking so dainty!
I didn't like this week's block until now...love the fabric choice! The antique hexie quilt turned out great, but I knew it would.
Wonderful fabric choice on the block - and the 1930's is really shaping up too!
All great fun....thanks for sharing!
Both the CW BOW and Hexie Quilt are just great! You figured out a wonderful setting for the hexagons - very eyecatching and unique. Good job!

You have set those hexies in a very attractive setting. Lovely work.
Your CW quilt will be beautiful with all those wonderful blocks.
Love your little hexie quilt! Is it an original? Beautiful!
Love what you've done with your little hexie quilt! :0)
I love your hexie setting. Did you design it yourself or did your find it from another source. I too would like to try a block like it in 30's repos. The whole block has a very 30's feel to it (aside from the obvious 30's fabric) even though you said the borders were paper pieced.
Thanks!
